Tayside Businesses Secure Funding at Regional EDGE Final in Dundee
We were proud to see a number of our Business Gateway Tayside clients take to the stage at the Regional EDGE Tayside Final, held at V&A Dundee on Thursday 26th March, showcasing the strength, creativity and ambition of entrepreneurial talent across the region.
At this year’s Tayside final, several Business Gateway supported businesses were recognised with funding awards.
Top prize winners Umbra Dynamics secured £50,000 for their work remastering and remaking classic game IP that is no longer commercially available. Their creativity, technical expertise and commitment to preserving gaming heritage stood out, earning strong recognition from the judging panel.
Intercue was awarded £10,000 for its innovative approach to transforming static personality assessments into a dynamic, living platform, offering new ways for organisations to understand and develop people more effectively.
We were also delighted to see The Tuskers and Arngask Farm each secure £15,000 in funding. Both businesses impressed judges with their creativity, drive and commitment to their local communities. It has been a pleasure to support them throughout the Regional EDGE journey, alongside advisers Michelle Maddox and Andrew Webster.
We’d also like to recognise Lynne from Pathfinders, who brought real passion and clarity to her application and pitch. While she didn’t receive funding on this occasion, her participation reflects the wider value of Regional EDGE, building confidence, gaining experience and opening doors for future opportunities.
The success of these businesses highlights the impact of Regional EDGE as a platform for ambition and growth, and the strength of Tayside’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. We look forward to supporting each of them as they continue to develop, scale and take their next steps.
