Small Steps. Big Confidence. Real Change.

Bold Beginnings is a fully funded community-based programme helping women in Muirhouse explore self-employment and starting a business – all in a friendly, local setting.

Delivered by Elevator in partnership with Business Gateway Edinburgh, with funding from The City of Edinburgh Council, the programme is designed for women who want to take the next step towards greater confidence, income, and independence.

So if you’ve got an idea, and the drive and determination to take it to the next stage, Bold Beginnings is for you.

Life can be busy – between family, work and everything else, it’s easy to lose sight of your own ambitions. Bold Beginnings gives you time and space to focus on yourself and explore what’s possible.

You’ll join a small, welcoming group of local women who share the same challenges and hopes. Together, you’ll build skills, confidence and connections that help turn ideas into income – no matter how big or small your dream might be.

The programme is fully funded, so there’s no cost to take part — just your time, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.
