A conference designed to inspire students and business owners to ‘Make it Happen’ is a highlight of this year’s Dundee Business Week.
The special event, organised by Business Gateway in conjunction with the Centre of Entrepreneurship at the University of Dundee and Elevator, will hear from record breaking cyclist and University Rector Mark Beaumont, as well as business leaders who will relay their experience and advice to high school pupils, college and university students and local business people.

Delegates at the conference, which takes place on Wednesday, 21st February at Dalhousie Building, University of Dundee, will hear how broadcaster, adventurer and author Mark Beaumont overcame numerous obstacles during his 18,000 mile record breaking world-wide cycle.
Founder of family outdoor gear supplier Team Magnus, Kristine Moody and Collette Norval, Managing Director of Social Stuff will also inspire the audience who will be treated to motivational nuggets throughout the day from host Gavin Oattes of Tree of Knowledge.

To coincide with this event, Business Gateway is running a competition for any primary or secondary school pupils in Tayside. ‘Make Your Pitch Happen’ is funded and supported by Developing Young Workforce (DYW) Dundee and Angus and Perth and Kinross. Pupils of Tayside are invited to submit a 60-second video pitch outlining what they would do to help young people prepare for the world of work.
