NETWORKING EVENT HELPS LOCAL BUSINESSES GEAR UP FOR SUCCESS
Having twice broken the world record for circumnavigating the world on a bike, Mark Beaumont will provide an insight into how he overcame setbacks to achieve success at a free networking event this May.
The ultra-endurance expert and business ambassador is set to take to the indoor running track at Aberdeen Sports Village on Wednesday 2nd May 2018 to give an inspirational talk to delegates attending Business Gateway Aberdeen City & Shire’s latest Go Network event.
Taking place from 2 pm until 4 pm, the event aims to provide anyone thinking of starting, running or growing their own business with an opportunity to expand their contacts book and gain business insight from industry leaders.
Business Gateway advisers, accountants, lawyers, and representatives from major banks will also be in attendance at all Go Network events.
Andrew Burnett, Operations Director, Business Gateway Aberdeen City & Shire, said: “Mark initially cycled around the world in 194 days. By the time he wanted to undertake that mammoth task again, the record had fallen to 123 days. Through determination, self-belief, and drive, Mark went on to not only beat that record, he smashed it by completing the global adventure in just 78 days, 14hrs and 40mins last year.
“Being at the peak of his profession, Mark understands how much work needs to go into preparing for a challenge, how to handle the pressure that comes with success, and how to overcome challenges that can’t be planned for. By listening to the strategies he put in place to become a record breaker, delegates will learn new ways of thinking that will help drive their own success. We’re delighted that already over 150 people are attending and we would urge anyone interested in booking their place at this fantastic event, to do so quickly.”
