Elevator strengthens senior management team with four internal appointments

As one of Scotland’s leading business support organisations, Elevator prides itself on helping entrepreneurs across the country to flourish, with the ultimate purpose of making Scotland a better place to live, work and do business.   

In line with its ambitious growth strategy and recent international contract win, Elevator has bolstered its senior management team with four key internal promotions.  

Andrew Burnett has stepped up to Managing Director, with Roz Taylor moving into his previous role as Operations Director. Each has served more than 15 years with the organisation, which demonstrates their confidence in the company and its ongoing commitment to supporting Scotland’s business community.    

Kirstie McLaughlin, who joined the company initially in 2016 as a business adviser in the start-up team, has since been promoted three times – from growth start-up business adviser to team leader. Most recently, Kirstie has transitioned into her new role as Operations Manager, carrying the responsibility for delivering the Business Gateway contract in Aberdeen City and Shire.  

Dr. Andy Campbell has been appointed to the newly created role of Commercial Director. With a wealth of experience in business start-ups and scale ups, Andy’s previous experience has seen him conclude over £25m in international contracts, secure £2m in venture capital and lead a management buy-out.    

As Commercial Director, Andy will lead the overall strategic direction and management of Elevator’s suite of Accelerator programmes, including its newly launched Sustainable Mobility and Low Carbon Innovation Accelerator in partnership with Michelin Scotland Innovation Parc.
