With the arrival of 2014, now could be the time to put any plans you might have of working for yourself or boosting your current business, into action. Maybe you would like to find information and develop your skills ready for a future venture, or maybe you are in business already and would like to find out what further resources and skill development opportunities are available to you.
Whatever the circumstances, Business Gateway Tayside are delighted to announce the upcoming Dundee Business Week 2014, which takes place between the 24th and 28th February 2014.
The week aims to boost local businesses and those thinking of starting a business through a range of free support and information events. These sessions will be held in venues across Dundee and will cover a wide range of business topics, ensuring support for almost any type or size of business. Throughout the week our experienced advisers and external experts will be on hand to help you with the wide variety of business skills and advice on offer.
The series of events are being hosted by Business Gateway Tayside alongside a number of partner organisations to offer the best coverage of support available, including; Dundee City Council, The Prince’s Trust-Youth Business Scotland, Skills Development Scotland, the Federation of Small Businesses, Dundee and Angus Chamber of Commerce and Enterprise North East Trust.

• Finance for Exporting
• Women Into Business- Social Media
Tuesday 25th of February
• Start Up Business Finance
• Meet The Buyer- hosted by Dundee City Council Development Department
• SDS Youth Employment Initiative for Employers
• Legal Surgery- A free 30-minute one-to-one session with a Solicitor to discuss your business
Wednesday 26th of February
• Start Up Marketing
• Waste Not, Want Not- A workshop looking at waste regulation updates new to 2014
Thursday 27th February
• Utilising Social Media for Business Brand Success
Friday 28th of February
• Networking lunch and open afternoon
