Elevator is recruiting now for Office Managers to be involved in the delivery of a £2.8m national business support programme (E3) to produce significant local community impact! 

Due to recent contract success as part of the UK Government’s Community Renewal Fund, Elevator will be establishing a network of Rural and Urban Enterprise Hubs across Aberdeenshire, North and South Lanarkshire. From here we will co-ordinate a number of support initiatives including: Access to Funding; Mentoring; Digital Skills education, Inspiring workshops and other business support, all with consideration to the environment and Carbon Reduction. 

The Role… 

You’ll relish the chance to lead and motivate your own team and together, you’ll make the Aboyne Enterprise HUB a pivotal part of the local community. With marketing, administration and digital assistance on your team, you will be well resourced to make a big impact, as well as supported from the wider Elevator team involved in this project. We need you to be passionate about making a difference to the lives and future opportunities of the people and businesses of your local area and ideally, we would like you to live there and already be part of the community. 

As a vital part of Elevator’s Strengthening Communities team, we expect that you will already have a proven skill set including: 

  • Experience of management of people and teams in order to deliver results is desirable 
  • Ability to lead and inspire others around you  
  • A great communicator 
  • Understanding of community stakeholder engagement and relationships 
  • The ability to develop a local project delivery plan 
  • An understanding of KPI’s and the ability to work towards the delivery of these  
  • Being a keen and enthusiastic networker 
  • Excellent communication skills – including presentation skills.

  • Relevant work experience 
  • Must be a team player and be able to work effectively managing your own team 
  • Demonstrate a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail 
  • Leadership capacity 
  • Commercial outlook - astute, numerate and comfortable with KPI’s. 
  • Strong computer skills are required, including knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.  
  • Able to work on own initiative; prioritise tasks and activities to deliver within agreed deadlines 
  • Excellent organisational skills  
  • Customer focussed 
  • A high level of accountability 
  • Understanding of stakeholder engagement, including partnership working 
  • Local / community understanding 
  • An interest in and an understanding of enterprise / business support in the local region is desirable 
  • A willingness to travel within the region.
