Full time, permanent position (35 hours per week), based at The Hub, Bridge of Don, Aberdeen. 

As one of Scotland’s leading business support organisations Elevator is ahead of the curve when it comes to supporting the start-up, acceleration and growth of thousands of businesses.

Through the delivery of Business Gateway support we currently play a key role in boosting economic and business growth across Aberdeen city & shire, Tayside and Lanarkshire, supporting more start-ups in Scotland than anyone else.

Each year we help over 2,000 new businesses to start-up, deliver in excess of 500 workshops, and masterclasses; run Conferences and events and host our own annual Business Awards. We are recognised for having established two Centres for Entrepreneurship and for accelerating the growth ambitions of businesses across three cities. In addition to providing business support, over 300 small businesses view our 20 Business Centres as their home. 

We have an exciting opportunity for a an individual passionate about supporting businesses and the local economy to join our team of Aberdeen Business Advisers. Based in Aberdeen, this full-time permanent position is focused on delivering the Business Gateway Aberdeen City & shire service to enhanced business support throughout the region. 

As a vital part of the team, we’d expect that you will already have a proven skill set and will be able to demonstrate that you are able to handle a variety of Business Advisory duties - including:

  • identifying new and established businesses who will benefit from Business Gateway support
  • Delivering training courses to start up and established businesses.
  • Developing Business and Marketing Plans.
  • Establishing strong public and private sector networks for the benefit of our clients.
  • Accurate reporting on client activities undertaken and outcomes achieved. 

If you are an individual with a business-related qualification/experience or have previously run your own business this could be the role for you.  You must also have a full drivers’ licence.
