The roles below would play a crucial part in supporting Elevator deliver a number of enhanced business and enterprise support initiatives directly into our local communities. 

Project Managers, Lanarkshire, Dundee and Aberdeenshire

Playing a lead role in managing our regional project delivery across one of North Lanarkshire, South Lanarkshire, Dundee or Aberdeenshire regions. Each area has its own particular challenges, and we aim to provide unique solutions that help individuals, communities and regions unleash their full potential. We intend to support local businesses to build back better from the COVID-19 pandemic and help to level up disadvantaged communities by targeting people most in need. This could be through encouraging young people to consider starting new enterprises, by better connecting remote rural communities with expert advice or by establishing sectoral specific programmes that encourage peer to peer learning. 

Our Project Managers will oversee all of our regional programme delivery and will have several roles reporting into them. There will be multiple services to be delivered within a fixed timeline and so recent experience of managing multi-aspect projects is essential. Our Project Managers will be required to move around the region, establish relevant network connections but most importantly, to ensure that the project delivers on its objectives, delivers within budget parameters while ensuring that key stakeholders including Local and UK Government are provided with appropriate project management information.

Enterprise Managers, Lanarkshire, Dundee and Aberdeenshire

Playing an important role in coordinating our regional project delivery within one of North Lanarkshire, South Lanarkshire, Dundee or Aberdeenshire regions. Each area has its own particular challenges, and we aim to provide unique solutions that help individuals, communities and regions unleash their full potential. We intend to support local businesses to build back better from the COVID-19 pandemic and help to level up disadvantaged communities by targeting people most in need. This could be through encouraging young people to consider starting new enterprises, by better connecting remote rural communities with expert advice or by establishing sectoral specific programmes that encourage peer to peer learning. 

Our Enterprise Managers will report to a regional Project Manager and will be experienced enough to impart advice to existing businesses and confident enough to develop productive network connections. You will have responsibility for coordinating a number of external consultants as they deliver tailored services within the community. You’ll operate from a local Enterprise Hub and deliver outreach support services into the wider community.

    Shotts, North Lanarkshire

  • Kincardine and Deeside, Aberdeenshire

Digital Advisers, Lanarkshire, Dundee and Aberdeenshire

Playing an important role in delivering digital advice and training to businesses within North Lanarkshire, South Lanarkshire, Dundee or Aberdeenshire regions. Each area has its own particular challenges, and we aim to provide unique solutions that help individuals, communities and regions unleash their full potential. We intend to support local businesses to build back better from the COVID-19 pandemic and help to level up disadvantaged communities by targeting people most in need. This could be through encouraging young people to consider starting new enterprises, by better connecting remote rural communities with expert advice or by establishing sectoral specific programmes that incorporate digital learning. 

Our Digital Advisers will be required to work with a range of people and businesses types and stages of development. You could one day be explaining to a prestart business the main principles of having a basic website and the next discussing international ecommerce platforms with a well-established company. Of particular relevance would be having sufficient skills and experience to be able to improve established business practices including social media presence resulting in improved sales for an SME.

You’ll operate across two local Enterprise Hubs and should be comfortable delivering training and advice both face to face and via digital platforms such as MS Teams and Zoom.  

Marketing Assistants, Lanarkshire, Dundee and Aberdeenshire

Playing an important role in communicating our regional project delivery within one of North Lanarkshire, South Lanarkshire, Dundee or Aberdeenshire regions. Each area has its own particular challenges, and we aim to provide unique solutions that help individuals, communities and regions unleash their full potential. We intend to support local businesses to build back better from the COVID-19 pandemic and help to level up disadvantaged communities by targeting people most in need. This could be through encouraging young people to consider starting new enterprises, by better connecting remote rural communities with expert advice or by establishing sectoral specific programmes that encourage peer to peer learning. 

Our Marketing Assistants will report to a regional Project Manager and will work closely with our Enterprise Managers. We’re looking for talented individuals who are not afraid to work autonomously to achieve the project objectives. You will be comfortable with a range of marketing including social media and more traditional techniques.  We will be creating a new website as part of this project and previous experience in providing online content would be useful. You’ll operate between two local Enterprise Hubs and so a driver’s license is essential.

This project’s success is dependent on establishing it very quickly within the local marketplace and so an ability to create an appropriate strategy and then deliver on that will be vital.

Project Administrators, Lanarkshire, Dundee and Aberdeenshire

Playing an important role in providing the administrative support to the Project Manager and Enterprise Managers within one of North Lanarkshire, South Lanarkshire, Dundee or Aberdeenshire regions. Each area has its own particular challenges, and we aim to provide unique solutions that help individuals, communities and regions unleash their full potential. We intend to support local businesses to build back better from the COVID-19 pandemic and help to level up disadvantaged communities by targeting people most in need. This could be through encouraging young people to consider starting new enterprises, by better connecting remote rural communities with expert advice or by establishing sectoral specific programmes that encourage peer to peer learning. 

Our Project Administrators will be computer literate and familiar with MS Office. You will work closely with the Enterprise Managers to ensure that project documentation is well managed, is compliant with project guidance and is uploaded onto an electronic CRM system. You will likely move around the region and you will require a flexible approach to your role as well as relevant skills including a strong attention to detail.
