DBW17 mailerheader2LOCAL COMPANIES SET FOR BOOST DURING BUSINESS WEEK 

Local entrepreneurs will be able to share ideas, expand their knowledge, and cement new contacts at this year’s Dundee Business Week.

Organised by Business Gateway, and partners, the week runs from Monday, 20th February to Friday, 24th February and offers a range of events aimed at helping local businesses grow.

IMG 3792With morning, afternoon, and evening sessions taking place in locations throughout the city, the week has been designed to make it even easier for new and existing business owners to attend events at a time and place that suits them.

Nikki Mearns, Operations Manager, Business Gateway Dundee said: “Business week provides local entrepreneurs with a unique way to listen to industry experts, build long-lasting business relationships, and gain knowledge that will help their company stay ahead of the competition. Our region has a vibrant business community and we hope business owners will take the opportunity to attend events that have been designed specifically to help them thrive, regardless of size, sector, or markets.”

Dundee Business Week 2017 has been developed in conjunction with both public and sector organisations including Business Gateway, Dundee City Council, Elevator, Dundee & Angus Chamber of Commerce, University of Dundee, Dundee Social Enterprise Network, SCR Solutions and CeeD.

This year’s calendar includes: 

  • Meet the Buyer in the Public Sector: Tuesday, 21st February from 9:30 am to 2pm at Invercarse Hotel, 371 Perth Road, Dundee. This session will bring in buyers from the public sector including Tayside Contracts, local councils, NHS and many more to help you find out how you can apply for and win public sector contracts. No booking necessary, just come along.
  • Protect Your Business From Online Fraud: Tuesday, 21st February from 10 am to 1.30pm at Malmaison Dundee Hotel, 33 Whitehall Crescent. This workshop will cover different types of serious business crime while making local businesses aware of the kind of scams that they can be susceptible to.   • Tribunal-proof DismissalsThursday, 23rd February from 2:30 to 4:30pm at Business Gateway Dundee, Unit 27-28 Camperdown Street. This seminar will show you how to make safe and tribunal proof dismissals.
