ONE THOUSAND of the North East of Scotland’s young workforce including university, college and senior phase school students will join business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs at the AECC tomorrow (Friday 20th November) and during a sister event at Fraserburgh Campus of NESCol (North East Scotland College) for Scotland’s largest free conference on the topic of 'Making It Happen'.  

The Elevator Conference 2015, run by business support agency Elevator as part of Global Entrepreneurship Week, is running from 10am to 3pm with nine inspiring speakers, including a candidate from this year's BBC The Apprentice, the first Scottish woman to summit Mount Everest, BBC Dragons’ Den survivors and a branding entrepreneur who turned £1,000 into a £1million turnover in a year. The conference will engage an audience of 900 at the AECC and 100 at Fraserburgh Campus of NESCol, highlighting business and career opportunities in the North-east of Scotland. 

 

AishaAisha Kasim, who starred in the most recent series of BBC The Apprentice, also runs a successful innovative hair accessories company; Madame Hair, recently winning the same innovation award as the inventor of the iPod  (Hot Hair Donut Bun won International Invention of the Year Platinum Consumer Award).

The Elevator Conference 2015 is fully booked with over 900 delegates registered to attend. The sister conference being held at Fraserburgh Campus of NESCol is a private event with 100 students in attendance. The theme for the event is: ‘If not you, who? If not now, when?’ and people sharing updates about the event are using the hashtag #MakingItHappen.
