Robbie is originally from Belfast, Northern Ireland, where he graduated from Queen’s University with an MSc in International Business and an academic prize sponsored by Randox Laboratories. His time spent at Queen’s was preceded by three years of study at the University of Liverpool where he completed his BA (Hons) in International Business - an experience that granted him the opportunity to travel to Copenhagen Business School in Denmark for 5 months of 2012.
In addition to academic theory, Robbie has always maintained a passion for the practical elements of business, which he enhanced when travelling to work in New York City during his summer recesses between university semesters.
Despite gaining a Master’s degree in International Business and possessing an appetite for travel, Robbie became further interested in the local and social aspects of business as he progressed through his academic career. This culminated in a decision being made to accept employment with East Belfast Enterprise upon graduation from Queen’s. Working at East Belfast Enterprise granted Robbie with the opportunity to work on a daily basis with entrepreneurs, freelancers and start-ups in all sectors . This experience led him to join the Elevator team as a Business Adviser in 2016.
Outside of work, Robbie has a love for outdoors sports, specifically skiing and surfing, and therefore is excited to further explore the Cairngorm Mountains and the swells of the North East.
