North East Business Week!

You might have heard us mention a few hundred times that it's North East Business Week this week! (22nd to the 26th of April 2013)

If you haven't and you are not sure what North East Business Week is, here's a brief overview:

1) North East Business Week is an initiative by the region’s four principal business organisations – Aberdeen & Grampian Chamber of Commerce (AGCC), Enterprise North East Trust (ENET), Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) and Scottish Council for Development and Industry (SCDI) – to jointly highlight the message that this region continues to be a major economic driver for economic recovery in Scotland and across the UK.

2) Business Week this year runs from from April 22nd to 26th and now in its third successful year, consists of a series of events focussing on a number of key areas relevant to the future business growth and prosperity of the region, such as international opportunities, social media, leadership, entrepreneurship and access to finance.

3) “North East Business Week – Creating an enterprising and prosperous future” remains the overall thrust, with the theme for 2013 being – 'People Driving Growth.'

4) Further information is available at www.northeastbusinessweek.co.uk or via the twitter account on @NEBusinessWeek or using the twitter hashtag #drivinggrowth

Our (Enterprise North East Trust's) second North East Business Week event is tomorrow! Thursday the 25th of April 2013.

We are whole heartedly looking forward to being out in the ‘shire’, hearing from some fantastic speakers who have utilised social media for the success of their business, or to build an engaged community online to reflect the fantastic local real life community. All attendees with undoubtedly go home with a few gems of how to increase their own social media impact. We hopefully will get some top tips that will come in handy too.

As an extra bonus for this event, Urlar Wines, a New Zealand winery who are a new stockist to the local Mitchell Diary shop, (on twitter as @MitchellssDairy) will provide a fantastic wine tasting for the event!

Just make sure you don’t break rule number one of social media and ‘drink and tweet’  :-)

It's not too late to book a spot for tomorrow’s free event - click here to book your FREE place - we look forward to seeing you there!
