The finalists have been short listed, so what happens next?

This is where the fun begins, I get to phone round all the successful businesses and give them the good news. This has to be one of the best bits of the whole process, hearing the surprise, excitement and shock from the businesses.

Everyone is invited to attend the judging day, held again this year at Newmachar Business Centre, on the 22 May and the sun shone.

Three judging panels, nine judges, twenty one finalists, a film crew and photography team and the Enterprise Projects team -  a very busy day for everyone. A huge thanks to all the tenants at Newmachar Business Centre who put up with us taking over their centre for the day.

The finalists present to the judging panels, then meet Pauline Cook from Frasermedia who guides them through the interview to camera, and after that they get media photos, organised by Tricker PR and taken by Newsline Scotland.

So what happens next?

Pauline and the film team head out on location to film the finalists in their "natural environment". These films are then edited and shown at the Awards Ceremony so those attending get a real flavour of the finalists and their businesses. After the event we'll upload them to our YouTube Channel.

Rebecca and the team at Tricker PR are busy writing press releases and getting them out in the media and trade press. Have a look at the finalists page to meet this years short listed businesses.

The projects team are now busy selling tickets to the Awards dinner. If you would like to attend and support the finalists, we still have tickets available and these can be reserved by completing the form.
